Program Description

The high school Business Education Department offers students a broad education in computers, management, marketing, career exploration, communication, accounting, consumer economics, and legal issues. Emphasis of the program includes a variety of computer applications, an understanding of business problems, and the development of managerial skills.

General Policies

1. One credit is required in a humanities-related field in order to graduate. Business Education is a humanities field.
2. Consumer Education (or H-Economics) is a requirement for graduation.
3. The computer classes have the expectation that students taking these courses are able to type at a rate of 30 words per minute. There will be no proficiency test. It is the responsibility of the student to self-assess their keyboarding skills.
