2017 Community Engagement

In the past school year, our Forward 95 engagement gathered feedback from hundreds of community members who helped us identify a number of improvements necessary to provide safer, healthier, 21st century learning environments for our students.

In early October, 2017, we held six community engagement sessions at each of our campuses, open to the public, seeking feedback on construction and financing options. We also held one session at the Ela 55 + Senior Center. We gave community members an opportunity to review plans and pricing while voicing opinions about priorities and financing options.

In addition, one of these sessions was videotaped and was available on our website with a survey at the end for anyone who could not attend in person. Although the survey is now closed, the PowerPoint from this presentation is available below along with the video of the presentation.

Two phone surveys were conducted across the community in the fall of 2017 which provided more than 1000 responses about finances and facilities.

The feedback from all of these community engagement sessions has helped to provide valuable information for the Administration and Board of Education. Together, we will chart the course for the future of our school district as we seek to further "empower every learner to achieve personal excellence".
